So Nina and I spent some time this weekend accomplishing some "to do's" before we take off.  One of the items that we have been looking for, but have not found satisfactorily yet, are some country maps for the places that we will be.  We have found a couple of brands that we like, but they do not necessarily offer them for the countries that we are interested in.  Nina was thinking that it would be great to have a Central America "atlas", which then would have enough space for detailed views of cities and cover a larger amount of area, but we haven't found just such a map yet.  The map brands that we have found so far that we like are "Rough Guide" and "Insight", but as I mentioned these are not available for Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama.  The search is on.  Some of the primary criteria include being water resistant and tear resistant.

Less than one month to go!!  I feel like there is so much to do.. but I'm not really sure what it is! One important decision I must make: chacos or flip flops??

Today was a snow day.  Yesterday morning about 3" of snow fell here in Portand.  Gunderson shut down at 10am and was closed all of today as well.  Nina and I have been keeping the kidos here at the Porter house as Roger and Michelle have been out.  I'm starting to get hungry, but lucky me, there is potato soup in the crock pot and some Rope Walk in the back room!
